Talbot Heath

Thank you to all of the girls who participated in this year’s festival;

as always, our girls have risen to the challenge.

They have had a maximum of only five drama lessons in which to

prepare, and have been fully responsible for all aspects of the

production: writing, directing, acting, costumes, lighting, sound and props.

Upper 3 have created clowning routines, Lower 4 interpreted an

extract from a play, and Upper 4 have devised a piece of original

theatre based on a poem.

The standard of work was high and a number of performers presented

impressive work. Characterisations were well crafted, imaginative and

sensitively realised on stage. Costumes were highly effective, showing

thought, creativity and a good understanding of the dramatic

context. The girls have been well organised and it is a real pleasure

to see such imaginative and innovative work.
