A desire to foster intellectual curiosity and depth of understanding has underpinned Headteacher, Angharad Holloway's , teaching career.
Having read German and Italian at St. Anne's College, Oxford, Angharad went on to complete her Postgraduate Certificate of Education at Queens' College Cambridge. She has taught languages in a range of schools across the UK, leading the International Baccalaureate programme at the Royal High School Bath, prior to being appointed Head of Talbot Heath in 2010. She currently teaches International Politics to all of Year 7, German to those students wishing to study the subject and co-ordinates the Dragons' Den programme for Year 8. Angharad believes that education should be dynamic and holistic. She has fostered many collaborations with Higher Education institutions and businesses in order to ensure that the education pupils receive focusses on depth of knowledge as well as vocational relevance. She established a literature and art festival for Bournemouth in 2015 and is looking forward to realising the School's new vision for interdisciplinary learning. She is a member of the legendary staff band, The Talbot Heathens.
