Talbot Heath was delighted to welcome back former pupil Professor Anne Baker last week. Professor Baker, who left TH in 1965, has recently been knighted by the King of Netherlands in recognition of her academic work in linguistics and also the huge contribution that she has made to the deaf community and those with language difficulties. Professor Baker is a specialist in the area of linguistics and is currently working at the University of Amsterdam, having previously worked at Tuebingen University. She spoke of her fascinating career and life path since leaving the school when she met with Mrs Holloway to have tea and has agreed to come back and give a Learning for Life lecture on her life and work when she is next in the UK. Talbot Heath extends warm congratulations to Professor Baker on her accolade. We are very proud.
