French Farce Entertains Linguists

Workshops & Events

On Thursday 11th November, the Senior French pupils were invited to attend the pantomime ‘Erreur d’Identité’ by Onatti, a French drama group. The entire performance was in French, yet was executed in such a way that it was accessible to all years, from L4 to U6. It told the story of a case of mistaken identity by a couple who own a hotel: they discover that a dangerous convict has recently escaped from a nearby prison, and automatically suspect that it is their latest guest. What follows can only be described as a French farce, and it is safe to say that we did not stop laughing, especially when members of the audience were invited on stage to participate in the performance. 'Erreur d'Identité' was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.
