Talbot Heath School were proud to be a part of the 2014 Dorset Drink and Farming Awards by sponsoring the Chef of the Year Category. The ceremony recently took place at the Exchange in Sturminster Newton and the winner of the Chef of the Year category was Greg Etheridge from Number 9, in Wimborne. Presenting the award was Mr Graham Exon, the school’s Chairman of Governors. The category was to acknowledge a local chef who has devoted themselves to the cause of serving the best possible food and who can display superb technical ability; use a wide range of seasonal ingredients; present food in a striking manner and have an understanding of how flavours work together. Greg has kindly offered to give some of the pupils at Talbot Heath a cookery master class in the spring term. Congratulations to Mr Etheridge on his award.
