Geography Visit to London

School Trip

At the close of January Upper 4 headed off to London very early in the morning for the annual visit to the The Natural History Museum. We arrived to see long queues of tourists hoping to visit, thankfully we were able to bypass these queues through the group entrance. We were greeted by 'Dippy' the Diplodocus, who is the source of much controversy at the moment due to his imminent retirement. Heading up the escalator to the Earth Galleries Upper 4 worked hard investigating earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunamis and even had a go on the earthquake simulator.

After lunch we went to the mammals section and admired the blue whale, elephant and numerous other animals. Then we took the lift to the cocoon section and learnt more about Darwin and scientific research. The day ended with an all important trip to the shop! The girls worked tirelessly all day and, as always, were a real credit to the school.
