On Thursday 11th June, the children and staff from Key Stage One had a lovely trip to Lulworth Castle.
The children enjoyed climbing up one of the towers to the roof and seeing the spectacular views from the top. It was 138 steps to the top of the tower, we know because we counted every one!
There was a fantastic exhibition on the lower ground floor where we saw how rooms such as the kitchen, laundry and larders would have looked in the olden days. We also watched a short film showing the devastating fire at the castle in 1929.
After our picnic lunch and a play on the lawns amongst the stocks, we all enjoyed an ice lolly before heading back to school.
