Talbot Heath

Tennis Schools National Finals

The girls attended four days of intense, high-quality tennis at the Team Tennis Schools National Finals which was held at Queenswood School. This was the first year that Talbot Heath qualified with two teams and this was a proud moment for all involved.

The B team had a tough first match against Bede's School and a close second match against New Hall School where they narrowly missed out on winning in the shoot out. This close win motivated the girls in their next match against Peter Symonds College, so much so that they won all four singles and therefore secured the win. On the final day, the team drew St George's College, this was a strong team and it was going to be a tough day of tennis. The girls worked hard throughout but the opposition took the win.

The A team had Queenswood nipping at their heels, our girls wanted to defend their title from last year. With both schools winning their other matches, we knew we could end up playing them in the final. The A team was victorious against: Wimslow High, Repton and Cheam winning those matches comfortably and securing themselves a place in the final.
