Last week four girls from Year 5 organised a cake competition in aid of the rainforest. The girls were Rebecca Blackmore-Wells, Jasmine De La Haye, Charlotte Lyons and Genevieve Turner. An amazing array of imaginative and colourful cakes arrived at school on the Friday morning of the competition. Children had poured in a lot of time and effort (probably with a sprinkling of help from their mums) baking and decorating their cakes. Their creations in coloured icing were absolutely fantastic. The winning entry was made by Olivia Harrison, Jessica Mould and Jemima Trickett (pictured above.)
Second place was gained by Louisa Woodley, with Olivia Harrison again, and coming third were Olivia Fordham and Alice Hann. Over £140.00 has been raised so far. Congratulations to everyone that entered, but especially to the four girls who thought of the competition and organised the whole event.
