Upper 4 and members of the sixth form enjoyed a rainy but interesting visit to Fishbourne Roman Palace and Gardens recently. Groups enjoyed tours of the gardens which included a fully excavated section of the former palace. Students had an educational worksheet to complete and used their observational skills to find images hidden in the beautifully preserved mosaics. Roman plumbing and underfloor heating (hypocaust) were admired and Roman artefacts studied and identified. Thanks go to Mrs Considine for organising the visit.
