Talbot Heath

Space Station Talk

Guest Speakers

On Thursday 3rd December over 80 guests, comprising of pupils from across the whole school and parents, attended a talk by space expert Bill Coombes. The talk centred on the fascinating history, purpose and future of the International Space Station - a manned space station orbiting the Earth. The evening included many images taken, by our own Year 6 students, from the space station during a special science lesson recently.

The talk is part of the Talbot Heath year of space related events: also planned is the arrival of an inflatable planetarium, and Talbot Heath’s very own direct link-up to NASA and the ISS in the Spring.

Thanks go to Mr Coombes for giving up his time to visit the school again.
