Last week the main hall was transformed into an arena to host the much anticipated ‘T2 Festival’. Following on from last year’s success of the ‘T Festival’ at the Shelley Theatre in Boscombe, the music department organised another fundraising concert for the refurbishment of the Shelley Theatre. Featuring a superb line up of talent from the Talbot Heath senior pupils and staff the ‘T2’ Festival proved to be an exciting and entertaining evening that raised well over £500.
The programme was a varied mix of popular numbers from artists including Nicki Minaj, Coldplay and Leona Lewis, as well as classics from All About Eve, Fleetwood Mac and Joe Jackson. They were performed by pupils as young as 12 up to 18 years old and also included the now infamous and ‘quite ridiculous’ staff band ‘The Talbot Heathens’! It was especially inspiring to enjoy the talents of the peripatetic music staff, and the audience were generous and warm in their response; pupils, parents and even grandparents were rocking in the aisles by the end of the evening.
Thanks go to all of those who performed and helped to organise such a fun and artistic evening.
The programme was as follows:
Mrs Holloway Martha’s Harbour All About Eve
