Year 2 Singing Success

On the morning of Friday 17th June our Year 2 classes were very excited to join together to perform as a choir in the Bournemouth Music Festival. This was a very nerve racking experience as the event was held in the Bournemouth Pavilion which is a grand venue but the girls acted like true professionals. Their two songs were ‘Gobbolino the Witches Cat’ and ‘Morning has Broken’. The girls were, by a long way, both the youngest and smallest choir in the class but sang fantastically well to gain a Distinction and 2nd place. The adjudicator’s comments included the phrases ‘very clear and bright sound’, ‘words were very clearly projected’, ‘well-rehearsed actions’, ‘tuning was secure right through the range’, and ‘lovely tone quality’. Mrs Holloway and two of our Governors, Mr Exon and Mrs Norman, went to hear the girls sing and were so proud of their achievements. Congratulations and well done Year 2!
