Thanks go to Sophie Zepherin, the Children's Minister at St Mark's Church, who helped Karen Leahy organise the first ever transition service for the pupils at Talbot Heath. The girls were able to celebrate a crucial time in their lives: the move from Pre-Prep to Junior and Junior Senior is a significant one and the service cerebrated that transition. With up-beat songs and moving tributes, it celebrated all they have loved and achieved and looked forward to all they are going to do in the future, building on those foundations.
With the oldest and youngest girls working together, the service had a wonderful feel of family about it, something the Junior School sets great store by. The parents were moved by the songs and the sentiments expressed by all during service. Karen Leahy, for whom the service had special significance as she to is making a huge transition at the end of this year, said that the girls, as always, rose to the challenge of mixing the celebratory with the poignant to create something totally wonderful and totally TH.
