Everyone gave an accomplished performance which made for a very enjoyable evening. Particularly special moments came from TH's two pianists Anna Yaravova and Lella Lam. Anna entertained the audience with a traditional Russian piano piece which included some complicated clapping patterns and Lella’s Chopin Waltz was exquisite. Hannah Glatter’s Marimba playing seems to get evermore athletic and shows a high degree of musicality. Izzie Mumford’s pure vocal tones in Purcell’s ‘Music For a While’ were a joy to hear and Katie really made her cello sing with ‘Nocturno’.
Congratulations also go to Maisie and Faith for their lovely flute tones; Gigi, Jessica and Fleur who sang beautifully; Ellen for reminding us of Summer on her clarinet and Ruby for her stylish violin playing. Well done girls!
The evening ended on a fitting note with delicious canapés, cakes and wine: thank you Dave at Holroyd Howe. Also a tuneful thank you goes to Mr Hill who accompanied the majority of performers.
