Fossils Fuel Learning

Talbot Heath juniors were pleased to welcome Steven Limburn, a fossil expert from the Bournemouth Natural Science Society, who came to visit Year 3 last week. He gave an enthralling explanation of how fossils were formed and revealed fascinating facts about the sorts of creatures who might have lived nearby on Dorset’s Jurassic coastline, millions of years ago. The girls were also given the unique opportunity to hold some fossilised plesiosaur poo! It was an enjoyable experience for all involved, especially being able to see and touch some amazing historical artefacts.
