Talbot Heath

Talbot Heath has a long record of academic excellence. Students gain places at the country’s most prestigious universities as a result of their impressive grades.

Talbot Heath Sixth Form offers excellent teaching in a friendly, caring environment. We want our students to be the best that they can be and will support them every step of the way throughout their studies.

In the Sixth Form, pupils study fewer subjects in greater detail and at a higher level.  They are encouraged to think and act independently and will have the challenges and pleasures attendant with a greater degree of freedom.

Pupils are taught by specialist teaching staff and offered a high level of pastoral care. We know our pupils. Students are divided into small tutor groups and tutors support and guide pupils throughout their studies, providing expert advice on university courses and helping them through their UCAS application.

The Sixth Form offers a new start for everyone; whether they have been at Talbot Heath for several years or whether they join us for their A level studies. All students at Talbot Heath are warmly welcomed and quickly settle into sixth form life.

Anne Klemz, acting Head of Sixth Form.

The Sixth Form is an important time in the life of a young person. It is a time when one is learning to be independent while still requiring the support and guidance of one’s teachers and peers. At Talbot Heath, our Sixth Formers flourish; they receive individual attention as a result of the small class sizes but are able to enjoy the freedom that Sixth Form brings.  They still feel part of the school and an important part of the Talbot Heath community while being a separate and distinct entity.

Talbot Heath encourages its pupils to achieve their potential. Our pastoral system provides the individual attention that is so vital at Sixth Form level.  ISI inspectors commented on the ‘exceptional progress’ of pupils and noted their willingness to express their ideas with confidence in a warm and caring environment.

Whether your aspirations are to study Maths or Journalism, Arabic, International Relations or Medicine, you will receive expert advice, teaching and support in order to achieve your goals.

Talbot Heath students leave school as knowledgeable, principled, confident and caring young women ready to take their place in society.
