Candidates applying for scholarship should participate in sport/s in and out of school and have a very good level of fitness.

Candidates should demonstrate a good level of sporting ability, be above average in at least 2 sports or excel at 1.

Candidates will ONLY be invited to attend scholarship assessment once this form has been completed by the date specified. A referee must be provided for us to approach for additional evident the form of a written reference. (TALBOT HEATH PE DEPT ARE UNABLE TO BE USED AS A REFERENCE)

If a candidate is called for assessment, evidence of sport achievements must be supplied in the form of results, certificates/portfolio.

The sports assessment morning is an opportunity for candidates to work as hard as possible with enthusiasm in many tests conducted. These tests are never revealed and the format of the assessments changes every year.

The tests should reveal evidence of the candidate’s fitness and their ability to grasp skills and apply them to the practical situation.

Candidates must demonstrate an element of maturity in their performance and the potential to develop further.

Lastly candidates must demonstrate that they would be an asset to Sport throughout their time at Talbot Heath.

Swimming (if applicable) – Please provide details of personal best times for all events 50m & 100m (Free, Fly, Breast & Back) and personal bests in the 100m & 200m (IM)

Tennis (if applicable) – Please provide details of current ranking and recent tournament successes

Hockey (if applicable) – Please provide information on level played and perferred positions

Netball (if applicable) – Please provide information on level played and preferred positions
