Congratulations to the TH Aberdare Cup A team battled to a win in the Regional Final against Prior Park College this week. A really high standard of tennis was played in all matches and it was a pleasure for Mrs Camp to watch the girls show determination and grit to win in the hot sun.
After the singles matches, the score was 2-2, and particular credit goes to Sofia who lost the first set 6-0 and turned the match around winning in a third set tiebreak. The two doubles matches were split and the score at the end of the 6 matches was 3-3; a match shootout was needed and Lola and Sofia came through winning 10-5!
This now means that the girls qualify for the National Finals from 27-30th June in Nottingham. Good luck to everyone involved and thanks go to Mrs Camp for her continued time and support.
