Congratulations to Jemima in Upper 3, on her recent sporting achievements: she has secured a team place to represent GB at the World Biathle Championships later this autumn.
The event involves the following sequence Run-Swim-Run, and in July, Jemima finished 2nd in the National Schools Under-13 Biathle held at Leweston. She also qualified for the National Biathle Finals that took place in Salford Quays at the end of July; this was the GB qualification event with the top five gaining a place on the team to represent GB at the World Biathle Championships in Madeira at the end of October.
There was an extremely strong field of 24 in the U13 girls and Jemima place 5th and qualified for the team. She was absolutely thrilled and cannot wait to pull on the GB tri-suit next month. The school community wish her the very best of luck for the Championships.
