Talbot Heath School is celebrating National Fitness Day by recognising a significant professional achievement for Head of PE and Sport Dept, Lou Lindon, who has been selected as a PE Scholar Associate 2026/27, joining a prestigious international network of educators committed to advancing excellence in physical education, physical activity and school sport.
Following a rigorous and highly competitive application process, Lou was chosen as one of a select group of PE professionals from across the UK and around the world. Her appointment recognises her expertise, leadership and commitment to ensuring high-quality physical education, physical activity and sporting experiences for all students.
Lou Lindon’s selection reflects Talbot Heath’s longstanding commitment to providing outstanding opportunities in sport and physical education. From recreational participation to elite-level performance pathways, the school’s extensive programme encourages every pupil to develop confidence, resilience and a lifelong love of being active.
This commitment extends beyond the sports field. Students have the opportunity to study GCSE and A Level Physical Education, gaining a deeper understanding of the science, psychology and sociology of sport, while the nationally recognised Level 3 Sports Leaders Award enables students to develop valuable leadership, coaching and event management skills through practical experience and community engagement.
As a PE Scholar Associate, Lou will collaborate with leading practitioners from across the profession, contributing ideas, resources and research-informed practice designed to enhance physical education provision and outcomes for young people.
