Summer 2022 saw the welcome return of another staple of life in the Food Department at Talbot Heath, the Lower 4 Master Chef Competition. With the whole year group having taken part in six heats during their Food lessons, the end of the summer term culminated in a fabulous finale. Five of the finest contestants returned to battle it out on the hottest day of the year so far.
Huge congratulations go to Rebecca A-S who was awarded the Master Chef Title for her menu of butternut squash and spinach ravioli with saffron butter sauce, followed by coconut panna cotta served with pineapple compote. The runner up was Lila E for her feta, spinach and sour cream filo parcel and chocolate and raspberry cheesecake, and third place went to Annabelle H, who cooked up salmon en croute and a white chocolate and passion fruit dome. All the judges agreed that it was an absolute treat for the taste buds!
