Support for Leweston Families
At Talbot Heath School we understand that the sudden closure of your School will be deeply unsettling for families and pupils alike.
Our immediate priority is simple: ensuring continuity of care and education for your daughter during a time of uncertainty.
We are here to offer reassurance, practical support, and clear next steps as you consider the right path forward.
A Smooth Transition for Your Daughter
Changing schools unexpectedly can feel overwhelming, but you will not be navigating this alone. Our experienced admissions and pastoral teams will work closely with you to ensure that your daughter’s move is as smooth, supportive and reassuring as possible.
Our strong pastoral care ensures that every pupil is known as an individual, helping new joiners settle quickly, build friendships and feel confident in their new surroundings.
140 years strong, Talbot Heath is a through school, welcoming girls from Kindergarten all the way through to Sixth Form. This allows pupils to continue their education within one nurturing environment, supported by staff who know them well and understand their journey.
Immediate Places Available
We currently have places available for immediate start across all year groups and within our Swimming Academy, our admissions team is ready to guide you through the process quickly and sensitively.
We are pleased to offer:
- Personal meetings with our Admissions team and Swim Academy Head Coach
- Support with academic continuity, GCSE and A level choices
- Individual tours of the school
- Pastoral support to help your daughter settle happily
Transport and Boarding Options
We know that practical considerations are important when making a decision about schooling.
Talbot Heath offers:
- Minibus routes covering Dorset with options to discuss.
- Full and flexi boarding options, offering flexibility for busy families or those travelling further afield.
Our boarding community provides a warm, supportive home-from-home environment, and many families choose flexi boarding to provide additional flexibility during the week.
Supporting Swimmers and Pentathletes
For families whose daughters are committed to swimming or modern pentathlon, maintaining training and competition pathways will be an important consideration during this transition.
Talbot Heath offers immediate opportunities within our successful Swimming Academy and supports pupils competing at regional, national and international level across swimming and modern pentathlon disciplines. Our experienced staff understand the demands placed on young athletes and work closely with pupils to ensure they can continue pursuing sporting excellence while thriving academically. We are happy to discuss individual circumstances and help create a smooth transition that allows athletes to continue progressing with minimal disruption.
A Community That Cares
At Talbot Heath, our guiding ethos of Curious Minds, Generous Hearts and Adventurous Spirits underpins everything we do.
We believe that in times of change, what matters most is ensuring pupils feel safe, supported and confident about the future.
Our staff are experienced in welcoming pupils who join us at different stages of their education and will work carefully with your daughter to ensure continuity in learning, friendships and wellbeing.
