An Enchanted Evening – Drama Showcase Delights

Congratulations to the Drama department for producing a highly entertaining evening this week where pupils performed three open-air plays on Flagpole Green and Boarder’s Green. Parents, pupils and staff brought picnics whilst they enjoyed consecutive performances of Alice in Wonderland and Little Women, with a theatrical interlude by the Lower 6 named ‘Desire and Desperation’ inspired by Jane Austen.

Entertainment during the interval was offered by the L6 dramatists, followed by the Drama Scholars performing an abridged version of ‘Little Women’ on Boarder’s Green. Mrs McDonald would like to thank the pupils for their continued commitment to the department alongside special thanks to Ms Cosgrove and Mrs Cox for all of their inspiring input into the event.

The KS3 Drama Club performed first on Flagpole Green with an abridged version of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ with eccentric characters and mystical set pieces; the students transported the audience to wonderland and created a fantastic performance they should all be very proud of.
