As we reach the end of this first half term, it’s a perfect moment to pause and reflect on the energy, creativity, and generosity that have filled our school community over the past few weeks. From the dazzling Conscious Catwalk fashion show to enriching trips to Avon Tyrrell, Slapton Lakes, Monkey World, and local care homes, our students have embraced every opportunity to learn, grow, and connect. Our drama students in U6 and U5 have impressed us with their devising exams, and theatre visits to Blood Brothers and Hamlet have sparked lively discussion and inspiration.
We’ve also welcomed many prospective families during our open mornings and Sixth Form Open Evening, showcasing the vibrant life of Talbot Heath. Our Maths Ambassadors have been fantastic in supporting Year 5 pupils, demonstrating leadership and a love of learning. Our amazing Languages assembly showcased dance, musical and linguistic talents. These moments of collaboration and outreach reflect the heart of our school—where every student is encouraged to be curious, courageous, and compassionate.
Our Swim and Tennis Academies have been incredibly busy, training and competing at the highest levels. The girls commitment to regular training and representing the school in many sports this term – netball, football, hockey and cross country to name a few – has been very impressive.
Yesterday’s whole school Harvest Festival was a beautiful culmination of this term’s spirit. The generous collection for the Trussell Trust was a powerful reminder of our school value of generous hearts. Thank you to every student, parent, and staff member who contributed. Your kindness and commitment to making a difference are what make Talbot Heath such a special place to be.
