What an inspiring and action-packed week it has been! Last week ended with a sixth form masquerade ball full of glamour and fun.
Monday saw the return of The Big Interview, a highlight of our careers programme. Upper Fifth and Sixth Form students had the invaluable opportunity to sit down with professionals from a wide range of industries, including finance, law, health, the armed forces, HR, marketing, and more. These mock interviews provided real-world insight and confidence-building experiences for our students as they prepare for life beyond school. We were also delighted to welcome a team of junior doctors who not only shared their career journeys but also ran engaging workshops and even delivered their own science lesson – a fantastic way to bring learning to life.
Careers remained a strong theme throughout the week. On Thursday, our Upper Fourth students joined Lower Fifth for a Subject Breakfast, where they explored GCSE options and heard first-hand advice from older students about subject choices. This collaborative event is designed to help U4 make informed decisions after Christmas, and it was wonderful to see such thoughtful conversations taking place over breakfast!
Finally, the week ended on a festive note with our EYFS Nativity performances on Thursday and Friday. The youngest members of our school community charmed us all with their enthusiasm and confidence on stage – a heartwarming reminder of the joy and creativity that underpin everything we do at Talbot Heath. Thank you to all staff, parents, and pupils who made this week so memorable.
Please note that there will be no coffee and catch up next week on the last day of term due to our final whole school assembly and Festive Friday.
