Computing

Our students develop great digital proficiency, utilising the latest technologies to enhance their learning. Opportunities abound for them to flourish in this field in preparation for the futures that await them.

At Talbot Heath, Computing is taught in classes for one lesson per week, helping to prepare students for the increasing uses of technology in education, work and leisure. All students have personal iPads to use for classwork and homework.

The Junior School is well equipped with a dedicated computer suite with desktop computers which students use in their Computing lessons.

The Computing curriculum ensures students are taught a variety of skills using different platforms and software packages. Curriculum content includes animation, audio production, photo editing, creating media, programming, databases, spreadsheets, webpage creation, vector graphics, and more. We use hardware such as Micro:bits and Crumbles to teach physical programming.
