Marvellous Maths Meet

On Thursday 22nd June, the Maths department and Upper 3 pupils, welcomed the Year 6 students to the first annual Marvellous Maths Meet. They had an array of activities to discover and enjoy: working out ‘who dunnit’, with the famous detective Madame Barham, by discovering ratios that link hand and head circumference to height; making images and pictures using tangrams (made by the deft DT department) with the talented Miss Harris; searching for patterns and pathways in a hands-on frogs activity with the great mathematician Miss Hall, and discovering maths in the beautiful woodland grounds with the outdoorsy Miss Cowgill.

Thanks go to the Maths department – and the Sixth formers who supported – for making Mathematics another fun learning experience.
