Talbot Heath School is delighted to announce that it will be opening 12 new nursery places for two-year-old girls from 1st September 2025, following a funding allocation of £23,448.
This project has been funded through the Department for Education in partnership with Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council.
The expansion will allow more families in the local community to access high-quality early years education in a nurturing, creative and well-resourced environment.
Talbot Heath’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) includes Nursery, Kindergarten and Reception, all located in bright, spacious ground-floor rooms within the school’s Pre-Prep building. Children benefit from access to the school’s extensive woodland, play areas, music, swimming, and Forest School, giving them a well-rounded early education experience.
The EYFS department is led by highly qualified teachers and professionals who create a caring and enriching environment that supports early development in phonics, numeracy, language and confidence. The school follows the ‘Development Matters’ framework to monitor each child’s progress and ensure they receive the support they need to thrive.
Families benefit from flexible attendance options in Nursery and Kindergarten, with wraparound care also available. In Reception, children attend full-time from 8:30am to 3:30pm, with additional care offered from 8:00am until 5:30pm.
As well as accepting Early Years funding and child care vouchers, Nursery fees are VAT- exempt, offering parents financial peace of mind.
“We are proud to support working families with flexible, high-quality nursery education. These new places ensure more children can access a wonderful early learning environment during the crucial foundation years,” said Sarah Breeze, Talbot Heath Early Years lead.
