THe TH Summer Fayre: A Tremendous Success

What a fabulous day! Talbot Heath’s first-ever Summer Fayre was a vibrant celebration of community spirit, with over 1,000 guests enjoying a spectacular array of stalls, entertainment, and fun-filled activities. The event showcased the best of our school’s welcoming atmosphere — wonderful weather, smiling faces, and plenty of laughter! The THrufts Dog and ‘Is it cake?’ competition judged by Maggie from the Great British Bake Off  were particular highlights…

A massive thank you goes to our incredible PSS team, whose dedication and hard work throughout the planning process made this event possible. From the colourful stalls and entertaining displays to the smooth organisation on the day, their efforts were nothing short of extraordinary.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to:

  • Parents who donated to and staffed the stalls
  • Pupils who had fantastic ideas for stalls and created an array of brilliant items to sell, showing true entrepreneurial spirit
  • Members of staff who volunteered throughout the day
  • Support staff—including the site, reprographics, and marketing teams—for going the extra mile behind the scenes
  • And last but not least, our sponsors Aspire Sports, Dental on The Banks, Greys Estate Agents, Enfields Sales and Lettings and STN Project Services. Dragonfly Restaurant also donated a wonderful surprise at the final hour of over 150 bottles of wine for our very popular ‘Wine or Water’ stall!

A special thank you to everyone who contributed—your generosity and engagement turned this event into something very special. We’re excited to share that all profits will go directly to our PSS Charity Fund, with the total raised to be announced next week.

Thanks to the success of the fayre, we’re looking forward to supporting a range of exciting projects, including: the Woodland trail camera installation; Fairy Door Trail for our little ones; an outdoor classroom Roundhouse; outdoor classroom seating; Junior School play benches/library; Junior School Mini Oasis setup and a future Junior adventure playground.

Headteacher Tracy Harris said: ‘We were absolutely delighted by the support and spirit shown at our first Summer Fayre. It was a joy to see families, staff, and pupils coming together to create such a special day. The funds raised will make a real difference to school life, and we’re excited about the projects we can now bring to life.’

Thank you to every family, staff member, and community supporter who joined us—this wouldn’t have been possible without you. Together, we’ve raised vital funds and strengthened the bonds that make Talbot Heath such a special place to learn and grow.

Stay tuned for the final total—and watch this space for updates on how your generosity is bringing these wonderful new facilities to life!
