The school enjoys a beautiful woodland campus, close to Dorset’s stunning coastline. Talbot Heath is a selective school and its pupils attain excellent exam results at both GCSE and A level. Exam results count, but just as important are resilience, self-esteem, character, those life skills that are acquired as a result of a nurturing environment and an holistic approach to education.

Development Director

REQUIRED FOR January 2018

Salary £36,000 - £40,000

Initially a 2 Year Fixed Term Contract with the possibility of extension.

Talbot Heath School is looking to recruit a Development Director to take responsibility for fundraising within a highly committed and passionate marketing, alumnae relations and Senior Leadership team.  Fundraising for an ambitious visionary project to create a state-of-the arts building which will champion excellence and innovative learning in Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics subjects.

90% of the funding for the project has been secured and we are looking for a highly motivated individual to help us complete our target.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious fundraiser, with experience of working for a charity or school, to generate income by developing the school’s fundraising efforts.

You will join a highly committed team, who, along with the Governors of the school, are focused on bringing this project to a successful outcome.

This school is able to offer flexible working and can work round childcare arrangements but must expect some evening/weekend activity. (School has a nursery for girls, 3+ years).

Full Time Art and Photography Teacher (Maternity Cover)

 

REQUIRED FOR FEBRUARY 2018 

We are seeking to appoint a full time, enthusiastic, experienced and well-qualified person to teach Art and Design from KS2 to A level. 

Experience of teaching Art and Photography and knowledge of Photoshop is essential. The ability to work across a range of specialisms including Fine Art, Art Graphics, Photography and Textiles would be an advantage. You should be able to demonstrate a commitment to extending students' knowledge and be prepared to take an active part in extra-curricular support.

Art is a popular subject throughout the School; the department achieves strong results.

Boarding House Assistant

FEMALE* BOARDING HOUSE ASSISTANT 

REQUIRED FOR January 2018

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and reliable person to support the house staff in the day to day running of our Boarding House at Talbot Heath School. This position is a fantastic opportunity for a GAP Year student or someone who is looking to develop a career in an educational environment. 

Talbot Heath is an independent girls’ school for ages 3-18 set in pleasant grounds in Bournemouth, with an outstanding academic record.

You will need to be confident and a good all round team player willing to contribute to the many aspects of boarding school life. You will be assisting with various activities, trips as well as the general day to day care of the Boarders

You will be working within a 2 week rota, with overnight stays in the Boarding House required where full board and accommodation is provided. This is term time only position and pay will be in accordance with age and experience

* PLEASE NOTE: As this is a girls' boarding school this role is suitable for female applicants only. This is an occupational requirement in accordance with Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
