Friday 7th March was an evening that celebrated the skilled linguists, musicians and catering team at the school. For the second year running the Linguists’ Dinner provided an opportunity for the school community to enjoy the varied talents within the school. Those assembled in Talbot Heath’s senior dining room were taken on a virtual voyage around the world from France to Mexico, via Spain and Italy.
The evening consisted of several gourmet courses – see menu below - alongside a rich variety of entertaining acts. These included classical pieces by Offenbach and Mozart; songs from Faure and Edith Piaf; modern sketches by Catherine Tate; and an energetic display of Flamenco dancing and fine finale of the sixth formers performing the Cancan.
An entertaining and exciting evening was enjoyed by all and a real taste of the flavours of Europe were enjoyed by all on the plates and on the stage. Un grand merci beaucoup go to everyone for coming along and supporting this event. The MFL department wish to particularly thank everybody who contributed to the organisation of the dinner.
