Lower 5 Talbot Heath pupil, Tamara Qaddoura, won tickets for the Hunger Games - Mockingjay Part II film premier in Leicester Square last week. The fourteen-year-old won a fan-art design competition organised by Lionsgate on The Hunger Games Tribute website. She submitted a digital piece of art inspired by the character Katniss Everdeen (played by Jennifer Lawrence) and the following month heard via email that she had won. Tamara said how she had entered the competition without thinking that she would win and was very excited when she learned that her work was selected as the winning design amongst thousands of entries. 'It was thrilling to attend the film premier' said Tamara, 'and to see the entire cast face to face was amazing.' Adding, ‘the film itself was terrific especially when I was seated so close to the stars in the cinema. It was a special experience.’ Congratulations go to Tamara for her fan-tastic win.
