As part of the PSRE curriculum in Lower 4, students study Hinduism. They had to design their own Hindu shrine, called a Murti. It could be as large as a shoe box and as small as a matchbox. They needed to include offerings to the gods such as food, jewels, flowers, candles and insence, and it needed to be dedicated to one of the many gods in the Hindu religion. Most students chose Ganesh, the elephant god. Members of staff judged the array of shrines and prizes were awarded to the outstanding designs. The winners were as follows: First prize - Gabby Wood; runners-up - Bethany Russell and Grace Gedge. Thulani Ratnayake, Amy Bowen and Chloe Brewer all received a Head's Commendation for their entries.
