On Monday 27th June, Upper 3 embarked on a History trip to Corfe Castle. They explored the keep, the gatehouse and the gloriette (meaning 'little room': a building or pavilion from which to survey the surrounds.) The girls enjoyed composing their reports for King John and decided that it would have been very hard to attack the castle. Indeed, they were highly impressed with the defensive qualities, such as the murder holes, the door and the portcullis. An enjoyably educational visit was had by all.
Thanks go to the History Faculty for organising this annual visit.
