Eight lower sixth students, who are interested in a variety of careers within the NHS, attended an event at Bournemouth Hospital this week. It was designed for any student wishing to be a healthcare professional. Talks were given by recently qualified staff from the Trust, including medical and nursing professionals. Lunchtime provided the opportunity for the girls to look at a range of displays from the different departments in the hospital, and gave them the chance to speak to members of staff and learn more about the various career options available.
It was both a comprehensive and informative day, and everyone now appreciates the extensive service that the NHS offers, and the wide role it plays in the community, both as a provider of healthcare, and an employer. Thanks go to Miss Collins for organising the visit.
