TH Juniors Get Beachwise

On Wednesday 2nd July, the TH Junior pupils were fortunate to attend a special assembly led by Jonathan Kane, who delivered an engaging and informative talk on beach safety.

Jonathan shared a wealth of important information, including how to stay safe on our local beaches, what to do if someone is in need of help and how to respond if faced with a rip current. He also spoke about opportunities for the children to get involved in beach cleans and introduced pupils to our local lifesaving club based at Branksome Chine.

The pupils were highly engaged throughout the assembly, contributing thoughtful suggestions and showing a real interest in how they could play a role in keeping themselves and others safe. It was wonderful to see them thinking about how they could get involved in our local community and take responsibility for the environment around them.

We are grateful to Jonathan for giving his time to educate and inspire our pupils. The knowledge they gained during the session is invaluable and we hope they will carry these lessons with them and share them with others.
