The Governors of Talbot Heath School are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Ross Cameron as the new Headteacher, who will join the school at the start of the 2026 summer term. This appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Talbot Heath, as the school continues its commitment to delivering exceptional education and fostering a vibrant, supportive community.
Talbot Heath School Appoints New Headteacher for Summer 2026
Mr Cameron brings extensive experience and proven leadership skills that will enable him to make an immediate and positive contribution. His focus will remain on ensuring outstanding all-round educational outcomes for the girls, while guiding the school confidently into the future.
After studying History at Southampton University, Mr Cameron began his career outside teaching before being drawn into the profession. His teaching journey started at Millfield School in Somerset, followed by leadership roles at Redmaids’ High School in Bristol. He currently serves as Deputy Headmaster at The Peterborough School.
Speaking about his appointment, Mr Cameron said:

The Governors also wish to express their sincere gratitude to Mrs Tracy Harris for her dedicated leadership over the past few years and extend their best wishes for her future. During the Spring term, Ms Anna Talbot will step up as Interim Head, assisted by Mrs Karen McDonald (Acting Assistant Head Pastoral ) and Mr Ian Kirtland (Acting Assistant Head Curriculum) ensuring consistency and care as we transition.
