This week has been a shining example of what makes Talbot Heath so special. Our tennis teams have done us proud on the national stage: the U13s stormed through Wednesday’s matches to reach the final, finishing as National Runners-Up after a tough contest with Surbiton, while the U15s, missing two key players, fought hard to claim 3rd place overall. Second and third in the country is an incredible achievement, and even more rewarding was the praise for our girls’ sportsmanship and honesty with line calls – values that matter just as much as victory.

Beyond the courts, learning and enrichment have been in full swing. Elevate Education delivered inspiring sessions to L5 and U5 on study skills and memory techniques, supporting L5 as they begin their GCSE journey and U5 as they prepare for January mocks. MedSoc hosted a fascinating dissection lab (not for the squeamish!), Year 3 explored the wonders of ancient Egypt at the Tutankhamun exhibition, and students enjoyed cultural outings to the theatre for Lost Atoms and to Tate Modern for an art education lecture.

As I write, our amazing Sixth Formers are transforming the hall for tonight’s spectacular Winter Ball – a fitting finale to a week brimming with achievement, creativity, and community spirit. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to making Talbot Heath such a vibrant place to learn and grow. Here’s to finishing the term on a high and embracing all the opportunities that lie ahead!
Wishing you a lovely weekend.
