Talbot Heath School’s recent double-cast production of SIX: Teen Edition became even more memorable when Inez Budd, who portrayed Katherine Howard in the West End production of SIX, attended the show and spent time with the young performers after their curtain call.
Budd watched one of the two performances — one featuring Queens from the Senior School the other starring Sixth Form students, supported by an ensemble of girls from Year 7 upwards. After the show, she joined the cast on stage for an extended meet-and-greet, offering advice, encouragement, and plenty of photo opportunities.
“I was absolutely blown away by the talent and energy on stage tonight,” said Inez Budd. “These young Queens have some serious skills — I think I’ve got stiff competition!”
Nicky Corlett, Director of Music, commented: “Having Inez here was a dream come true for our cast. Her support and passion for theatre inspired every single performer tonight.”
Karen McDonald, Head of Drama, added: “This was an extraordinary experience for our students. Inez’s warmth and generosity created a magical moment that they will never forget. It’s inspiring for them to see what hard work and passion can achieve.”
SIX: Teen Edition is a specially adapted version of Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss’s global smash hit, designed for younger performers while retaining the empowering pop-concert style that has captivated audiences worldwide.
Tonight’s event celebrated not only the power of live theatre but also the dedication and creativity of Talbot Heath’s talented students.
