Nursery and Kindergarten (Age 2+)
At Talbot Heath, we create a truly home-from-home atmosphere, and our stimulating environment is thoughtfully designed to promote all seven areas of the Early Years curriculum. Central to our philosophy is child-led learning which is enriched with inspiring topics that engage and enthuse young minds.
We offer multi-sensory learning opportunities ensuring every pupil thrives. Our dedicated specialist EYFS practitioners guide your daughter through this exciting journey; emphasising our core values of curious minds, adventurous spirits and generous hearts.
Curiosity is at the heart of our approach as we follow the interests of our pupils, fostering a love for exploration and discovery. Pupils are encouraged to share, listen and develop strong relationships with peers and adults; ultimately preparing them for a bright and compassionate future.
We promote a spirit of adventure and a ‘have a go attitude’ encouraging independence and resilience; creating a safe environment where our pupils are encouraged to assess, consider and take risks confidently. Our aim is to instil a lifelong love of learning!
From the age of 2, pupils receive a high-quality phonics, literacy and numeracy programme. We encourage our pupils to explore the world around them – whatever the weather – and nurture this through our weekly Forest School session within our beautiful woodland campus and outdoor Roundhouse classroom.
As they turn 3 years old, pupils also have access to weekly French, PE and Music lessons, all taught by specialist teachers. In addition, they also have a fortnightly swimming lesson in our onsite, indoor pool.
Throughout your daughter’s EYFS journey, we are committed to providing a strong foundation and a smooth, confident transition into our Reception year. Our pupils benefit from regular opportunities to work alongside and interact with older pupils, attend school assemblies and events; helping to build confidence, social skills and a sense of belonging within our wider school community.
