Junior School (Reception-Year 6)

Junior School – Reception – Year 6

What really makes our Junior School special is the team of caring, passionate teachers at its heart. They help our pupils build strong foundations not just in reading, writing and maths, but in curiosity, confidence and a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.

As our pupils grow, so does their learning experience. By Year 6, many of their lessons are taught by our senior subject specialists, the same inspiring teachers who guide our GCSE and A-level students. It’s a gentle, natural progression ensuring that your daughter gets the very best support.

At Talbot Heath Junior School, we understand that wellbeing and well thinking are closely linked; a happy child makes a happy learner and a learner who feels successful makes a confident child. We have bespoke wellbeing and cognitive skills programmes to ensure we support these key developmental areas.

Our two-week timetable enables us to we provide a broad and balanced curriculum which nurtures the individual child.

One of the many advantages of being on a through-school site is that our youngest pupils enjoy access to the same outstanding facilities as our older pupils. Whether it’s playing and competing in our excellent sports facilities, swimming in our indoor 25 metre pool, getting creative in the HUB building’s design and art studios, or performing in our fully equipped music school.

Every pupil benefits from the very best spaces to learn, play and grow. It means their school experience feels exciting and inspiring from the very beginning.
