‘Thank you for the Harvest’ was sung by the Talbot Heath Pre-Prep department at the annual Harvest Festival assembly. Once again the whole community came together to celebrate this seasonal and colourful festival, led by The Revd Johnathan Burke. This year his theme was ‘sharing’; the delightful ‘Allegory of the Long Spoons in Heaven’ was told about how people need to be aware of the needs of others.
Members of the Junior and Senior School led the traditional singing of ‘Morning has Broken’ and ‘We plough the fields and scatter’, along with readings and prayers and the Junior School sang ‘Think of a World without any Flowers’. A wonderful display of produce filled the stage and the generosity of the staff, students and parents was much appreciated by the local charity, the Bournemouth Women’s Refuge.
