Wendy Vernon-Browne Sporting Excellence Grant

The Wendy Vernon-Brown Sporting Excellence Fund exists to promote and encourage sporting excellence in pupils of Talbot Heath School either in the provision and enhancement of sporting facilities within the school Estate or grants and bursaries to individual pupils who have demonstrated notable relevant achievement in a given sport coupled with a firm ambition to continue and progress with the sport during the course of their educational career. Applicants would be expected to be performing at national and international level in their chosen sport.

Payments from the Fund are made entirely at the Governors’ discretion and may take the form of prizes (for which applications are not applicable) a single award in recognition of excellence (similar to a scholarship), a grant or bursary for specific equipment, training or associated costs, or the funding of sporting facilities or equipment for the school.

Consideration of applications is made in the second half of each school term in respect of all applications received before the Half Term break.

Applicants will be notified as soon as practically possible after the Governors have reached their decision on an application. Such decision is final and there is no right of appeal.
