The Talbot Heath Drama and Music departments have truly outshone themselves with their fantastic collaborative production of Disney’s ‘Frozen’ this week. Mrs McDonald, Ms Cosgrove, Mrs Corlett and Mr Hall have all worked tirelessly for months, directing and inspiring pupils to create a visual and musical spectacle for the three sold-out audiences to enjoy.
Arendelle and all of its beloved characters were magically brought to life through dance, acting, costume, props, and song; the key characters were all expertly performed by the senior pupils from Upper 3 to Upper 5, in a 57 strong cast – impressively many had multi-roles. Alongside those on stage, were an army of backstage crew [special thanks to Sasha A, Grace P and Olivia D] including many staff who helped in some capacity; further thanks go to Miss Coates, Miss Webb and Mrs Adams for their creativity and time on the beautiful set and colourful costumes.
Mrs Harris thanked and congratulated everyone involved in the production, saying: ‘Students and staff have worked very hard to stun the audience as they have breathed life into the beloved characters of Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven. The sing-along matinee on Wednesday was especially enjoyed by families, as children (and grownups!) joined in with the familiar songs. The performances have been a showcase of theatrical and musical excellence. Thank you to everyone involved.’
