Sprints and spacehoppers

The coming week will be a very active one at Talbot Heath, with sports days planned for Pre-prep, Junior and Senior School. We look forward to a festival of sport and to welcoming parents to these days which always have a wonderful atmosphere.

We have had tremendous sporting success across the TH community in the past week. Our Senior sailors won the Dorset Schools’ Tournament, Eliana and Lila Edwards have been representing GB at sailing tournaments around the world and will do so again in the coming weeks, Erin Wells in Lower 5 won the national schools’ biathle championship which consisted of an 800m run, a 100m swim and an 800m run and  our Junior swimmers performed very strongly at the national schools’ gala. Former TH tennis academy player, Jodie Burrage, beat the world number 4 at Eastbourne and TH alumna Melissa Courtney will be representing Wales at 1500 and 5000m at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. It is wonderful to see so many of our pupils of every age enjoying their sport and keeping active.

Here’s to a week of sprints and spacehoppers,
