Geography Conference

What forces draw communities together and what pulls them apart? How does globalisation change communities? What is happening to the ice cover in the Arctic? How do we measure the changes in sea temperature and the oceans’ currents? These are just some of the questions that Bob Digby and Dr Simon Boxall discussed at the Dorset Geographical Association’s latest sixth form conference. Over 100 local students and staff ate pizza and cake beforehand in the new Fusion building.

Bob Digby, former President of the GA said afterwards ‘great to see such enthusiasm’ and Dr Simon Boxall said he enjoyed the evening very much and that it was a ‘good audience’. Bob Digby is editor of numerous Geography textbooks and Dr Boxall regularly comments on Geography issues for the BBC.
